This competition is undertaken by Grove Mall of Namibia (Pty) Ltd registration number: 2010/0770 and Grove Mall (“Promoter”). These rules are the official rules of the competition (“Competition Rules”). The Competition Rules will govern and apply to this competition. Please take note of and review these Competition Rules. By your participation in the competition, you agree that these Competition Rules will govern all aspects of your relationship with the competition, the agents or advisors connected to the competition and the Promoter and the Sponsor. These rules can only be modified or amended by the Promoter (in its reasonable discretion) in a written revision of these rules posted on the Grove Mall website or by way of any other official competition communication procedures (at the Promoter’s sole discretion) in order to reach as wide a participating audience as is reasonably possible in the circumstances.

 

  1. Eligibility and Participation
    • The competition is organized and undertaken by the Promoter and the sponsors.
    • Any person who is a director, member, business partner, employee or agent of or consultant to the Promoter or sponsors or any of their immediate families, including spouses, life partners, parents, children, brothers or sisters or any tenants or their employees in the Shopping Mall or sponsors or any other person who directly or indirectly controls or is controlled by the Promoter or sponsors is not eligible to participate in this competition.
    • Any person who is a supplier of goods or services in connection with this competition is not eligible to participate in this competition.
    • The competition is only open to COUNTRY residents and participants must be over the age of 16 years.
    • Optional spending money and all items of a personal nature, including travel insurance are not included in the prize.

  1. Entries and Closing Date
    • The competition will run from 1 September 2020 at 00 until 30 September at 12.00.
    • To enter the competition, all levels of the Augmented Reality Game must be completed:

2.2.1.The player must unlock all 10 fashion stores individually, and scan the individual QR code for each shop

  • A player can only enter the competition once and will be automatically entered once all levels of the game is complete
  • The Promoter does not accept any responsibility for any entries that are lost or delayed.
  • Faxes, photocopies or photos of entries are not accepted, only digital versions entered by the application will be accepted
  • The opening date for this competition is 1 September 2020 at 00 until 30 September at 12.00. No late entries will be accepted.

 

  1. Prize
    • A monthly winner will be selected and the monthly prize will be announced at the beginning of each competition.
    • The prizes are not transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
    • The Promoter reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if the original prizes are unavailable.
    • The Promoter or sponsors are not responsible for any damage to the prizes or loss thereof on signature of receipt by the prize winners.
    • All costs above and beyond what the sponsors are providing are for the winner’s own account.
    • All risk and liability pertaining to the prize shall pass to the winner on signature of receipt by the prize winners.
    • If the winner is unable to accept the prize or in the event that the Promoter is unable to contact the prize winner, the Promoter reserves the right to draw the prize again.
    • The winner indemnifies the Promoter and sponsors, their directors, their agents, employees, their affiliates, their advertising agencies, their suppliers, their consultants or their advisors and holds the Promoter and sponsors, their directors, agents, employees, their affiliates, their advertising agencies, their suppliers, their consultants or their advisors harmless against all and any claims including, but not limited to, any substitution of the prize that may arise as a result of the competition and/or prize awarded to any winner including, but not limited to, any substitution of the prize.

 

  1. Selection of the Prize Winner
    • The winners will be randomly selected by means of a certified method of selection as recorded in point 4.2.
    • The prize winners will be the first entry drawn by lot or chance by the judge under the direct supervision of an independent audit firm.
    • The final winners will be announced the first week of the next month
    • The prize winner’s names will be published on the Shopping Mall’s Facebook page
    • The prize winners may be requested to participate in any marketing activity of the Shopping Mall; however, the winners have the right to decline.
    • The prize winners may be requested to be photographed and may be requested to permit the winner’s photograph to be used in any marketing material of the Shopping Mall; however the winner has the right to decline.

 

  1. General
    • The judge’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
    • The Promoter reserves the right to cancel or alter any aspect of the competition or the Competition Rules at any time in the Promoter’s sole discretion and without any liability.
    • If a participant contravenes these Competition Rules, the participant may, in the Promoter’s sole discretion, be disqualified.
    • The Promoter and sponsors, their directors, employees, agents, their affiliates, their advertising agencies, their suppliers, their consultants or advisors shall not be liable for any claim for any loss, damage or injury arising or suffered by any person entering this competition in any manner whatsoever including, but not limited to, personal injury or death, or any harm caused to any participant, or for damage, loss or destruction of any property of any participant arising from negligence by the Promoter or sponsors, their directors, employees, agents, their affiliates, their advertising agencies, their suppliers, their consultants or advisors (other than gross negligence by the Promoter or sponsors, their directors, employees, agents, their affiliates, their advertising agencies, their suppliers, their consultants or advisors) or theft or any other cause whatsoever.
    • Any income or other taxes payable relating to the prizes (if any) are the sole responsibility and liability of the prize winner.
    • The participants in this competition are aware and agree that in order for the Promoter and main sponsor to conduct this competition, the Promoter and main sponsor must collect and use the personal information obtained from the participants.
    • Any person who participates in this competition shall be deemed to have accepted the Competition Rules and agrees to be bound by them.
    • The laws of the Republic of Namibia shall govern this competition.

A breath of fresh air in retail

After 5 years in the retail sector in Namibia, The Grove Mall of Namibia has taken a step in a new direction.

On 5 December, the Mall will no longer be known as The Grove Mall of Namibia but only as Grove Mall.  As Windhoek is situated in the heart of Namibia, it is clear to see that after 5 years, Grove Mall is The Heart of Namibia.  “We wish to connect with our valuable customers and our extended community on a deeper level,” says the Centre Management Team of the mall.

With the new name also comes a new look logo that sees the Mall introducing colour and form.  The logo depicts a connection between the Mall, Customers and the Retailers with a strong focus on integrated relationships and ultimately an abstract heart is created.

The Centre Management Team adds: “Shoppers travel not only from the other side of Windhoek, but also from across the country to come and shop at our Mall.  We continuously strive to bring First to Market stores and enhance the customer experience.  When thinking of exclusivity as well as shopper convenience, Grove Mall wants to be top of mind. With Pay Pulse that will be fully functional in the parking soon and with shops like Exclusive Books, Meatpoint and Volpes that opened recently, one can be sure that there is a lot of new trendsetting concepts to follow. With the Standard Bank Head Office that opened a while ago and the new road progressing, the Mall is busy with a new entrance to access all your favourite shops”.

Another focus for the Mall is access and egress and in the near future customers will welcome a new entrance that is currently under construction, with the main entrance to the parking also being adjusted and improved to accommodate the flow of traffic coming into and going out of the Mall.
